If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that I don't do a lot of nail art. It's strange because I've always loved being creative. This seems like something that should come naturally to me. I suppose it's the ten tiny canvases that intimidate me. I recently made the goal of experimenting more with nail art. When Born Pretty asked me to review some of their products, I picked items that would help me achieve that goal.
I used two coats of Zoya Natty for my base color. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do and how to best handle the flowers. The flowers are very delicate and require a gentle touch. I used tweezers to pick them up and small scissors to cut off what I needed. I applied a thick coat of top coat on each nail to make sure the flowers stayed in place. I also applied two more coats of top coat to seal the flowers in.
The flowers come in this wheel, you can see that I have already used a few different colors. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do.
You'll also notice that what I received is different than what is shown on the website. On the website it shows that the wheel comes with two different types of flowers. I'm not sure if the product has changed or if it was just a fluke.
Aren't they pretty?
