Nail Art Society - Gold Flake Kit

Discalimer: I am a "Renowned Artist" for Nail Art Society. I have provided my affiliate link in this post.

It's time for another nail art kit from Nail Art Society! Today, I'm going to show you what subscribers received (or will be soon) for the September 2013 kit which is called the "Gold Flake Kit." Instead of referring to kits by the month, they will have a name from now on.

Check out everything that comes with this kit! I was thrilled to get the Jessica (Cinnamon Kiss) polish. I have been wanting to try this brand for a while and this shade was on my wish list. Let's take a closer look at the goodies.

The kit came in this beautiful black velvet bag. It made me feel like I was getting something extra special and luxurious. It really worked with the gold theme.

Jessica Nail Polish - Cinnamon Kiss
Cala 3D Nail Decorations (stickers)

Below are the stickers out of their packaging. They have a glittery texture to them and are nice a sturdy.

Silver and gold nail art foil. I recommend using tweezers with the foil. They are very delicate and require a gentle touch.

Adoro Rhinestones

This is the look I came up with using Jessica Cinnamon Kiss, Cala 3D stickers, gold foil, gold studs (from my personal supplies), and gold striping tape (from my personal supplies).
The scalloped edge of the foil was created by placing the bat sticker upside down along the edge of the gold foil.

Jessica Cinnamon Kiss had a wonderful formula. It had a creamy formula that was opaque within two coats. It was nice and smooth, self leveled well, and dried quickly. I was very pleased with it and look forward to trying more polishes from this brand.

Nail Art Society kits are $11.95 plus shipping and handling. In addition to the kit, you will receive a card that has pictures of manis using the kit supplies from the Nail Art Society's "Renowned Artists" (formerly Gurus). I think this is an excellent deal. You can sign up, here (my affiliate link). That is my personal affiliate link, I do not receive compensation if you sign up.

Being a "Renowned Artist" for Nail Art Society, I have had a sneak peek into the next kit. It is going to be my favorite kit so far. You seriously won't want to miss it. Here's a little hint! To get the "I <3 Studs" kit you need to subscribe by October 15.

Here is a giveaway opportunity!

Zoya Cashmeres Collection Fall 2013

I'm back with the second half of Zoya's Fall 2013 collection, Zoya Cashmeres. If you'd like to see my swatches and review of the Satins Collection, you can find that, here. This collection consists of six rich cremes that are perfect for the Fall season. Zoya is my favorite main stream nail polish brand for many reasons. One of those reasons is that I don't have to worry if their polish is going to have a great formula or not. Now, I'm not saying that I've never been disappointed by Zoya, it's just rare for me. Their cremes are especially fabulous when it comes to formula. They are easy to apply, self level, and dry fast. Many of their cremes are even one coaters. In the case of this collection, all of the formulas were great. Many can be one coaters for those with shorter nails but for me, I used two coats of polish in each picture. In the second pictures, I added one coat of Zoya Maria-Luisa to my accent nail. Maria-Luisa is from the Satins collection but I thought it would be fun to use it with the Cashmeres as well.

Zoya Livingston
Livingston is a bright red creme.

Zoya Maria Luisa
Here I am holding my bottle of Zoya Maria-Luisa. I added one coat to my accent nail. I reviewed Maria-Luisa, here

Zoya Pepper
Pepper is a brick red creme.

Zoya Hunter
Aptly named, Zoya Hunter is a hunter green creme.

Zoya Sailor
Sailor is also appropriately named as it is a navy blue creme. Sailor was almost a one coater for me but I had a tiny bit of patching by my cuticles. It was perfect with two coats.

Zoya Flynn
Flynn was difficult to photograph for me and hard to describe. Zoya describes Flynn as "a lush camel brown creme." Personally, it reminds me of a Cafe Latte. Although Flynn doesn't work for my skin tone, I'm keeping it for nail art.

Zoya Louise
Louise isn't the best polish for me to keep around. Every time I see it, I want to eat a brownie or chocolate pudding. Louise is a rich chocolate brown creme.

The Zoya Satins Collection can be purchased online from www.zoya.com for $8.00 each.

What's the verdict? Will you be picking anything up from Zoya's Cashmeres and Satins Collection? Do you love one collection more than the other? My favorite is the Satins Collection.

Zoya Satins Collection Fall 2013

This week I have the Zoya Fall 2013 collections to show you. Today, we're going to take a look at the Satins part of the Zoya Cashmeres and Satins Collection. Zoya Satins consists of five metallic shades with one gold flakie topper.

Each picture shows two coats with one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat. The second picture of each polish shows one coat of Zoya Maria-Luisa on my accent nail with the exception of Zoya Mason.

Zoya Channing
We're going to start with my favorite, Zoya Channing. It's a deep reddish orange metallic that is the perfect shade for the Fall season.

 Zoya Maria Luisa
Here I am holding Zoya Maria-Luisa which is a gold flakie in a clear base. I am wearing one coat on top of Zoya Channing on my accent nail. You can make Maria-Luisa opaque with several coats or wear it on top of other colors.

Zoya Mason
Zoya Mason is a bright fuchsia metallic polish.

Zoya Maria Luisa
On my accent nail is two coats of Zoya Maria-Luisa on top of Zoya Mason. As you can see, it's almost opaque. With one more coat, Maria-Luisa would have full coverage. For the rest of the swatches, I am wearing just one coat of Maria-Luisa on my accent nail.

Zoya Claudine
Zoya Claudine is a dark grey metallic polish.

Zoya Giovanna

Zoya Giovanna is an emerald green metallic polish.
