Zoya Carla

As I was taking off the polishes from the Surf collection, I noticed that it took the color off first and then the shimmer leaving a fun effect. I think it's kind of cool, maybe it just looks like I need to fix my manicure. I took a picture of Carla in the middle of removal to show you. What do you think? Trashy or fun? Both? lol I personally wouldn't wear it this way but I thought it would be fun to take a picture of it. =)

Zoya Surf Collection Giveaway - U.S. Residents Only

This giveaway is open until Friday, May 18 @ 11:59 p.m. MST Good luck!!

I had so much fun doing the last giveaway for Zoya's Beach collection. Now, it's time to giveaway the Surf Collection to one lucky winner! I got both collections during Zoya's Earth Day promo which made it possible to afford them. As I said last time, this was an expensive prize so I will only be able to do this for U.S. residents. I hope to someday be able to afford to have an international giveaway for all of my awesome readers! Click here to see my post on this collection.

This giveaway closes on Friday, May 18 at 11:59 p.m. MST. The form has the wrong date, so ignore that please. =) I will e-mail the winner on Saturday, May 19. If I don't get a response within 24 hours, I'll move on to the next winner. Good luck!

China Glaze LOL

This is just a quick little post while I catch up on swatching. I used China Glaze LOL as underwear for I Believe in Fairies by Whimsical Ideas by Pam. It's discontinued but you can still find it on Amazon, Ebay, Blog Sales, Dusty Hunting, etc. It's from the fabulous OMG collection which I've been slowly collecting (three more to go). It's a dark purple holo that's just beautiful. Enjoy!

Cult Nails - Toxic Seaweed

Have you heard of Cult Nails? If you haven't, head on over and check it out. They have a lot of gems over there that are high on my wish list. They are best known for the now discontinued Unicorn Puke/Clairvoyant which is an amazing flakie. I have four so far, as you can tell by the title I'm going to show you Toxic Seaweed today. I'm sad to say that this beauty has been discontinued. I wish I would have posted this earlier when it was available. I hope you don't mind that I'm showing this now.

Toxic Seaweed has a dark green jelly base with glitter and flakies. I wore this over Zoya Ivanka which is a deep green glitter that is to die for.

I love polishes that remind me of the ocean. This really does look like seaweed to me. The yellow/gold flakes are the perfect touch.

Toxic Seaweed may be gone but there are many other gorgeous polishes still available from Cult Nails. I highly recommend checking them out, it's a fun little company and the polish is high quality. I believe this is one coat of Zoya Ivanka and two coats of Toxic Seaweed.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam - Seuss

Seuss is the first polish I saw from Whimsical Ideas by Pam and it was love at first sight. I loved the blue base, the glitter, and I adored the name.

Isn't it adorable? I love how it looks like a jelly sandwich without all of the work. I did put two coats of China Glaze DV8 first which turned out to be silly and unnecessary. Seuss is pretty opaque so it covered up the holo effect as you can see. I used two coats of Seuss and one coat of Seche Vite. You can probably wear this on your own with three coats perhaps. As for the glitter, I believe we have red, silver, and white small and medium hex. It also looks like there are small pieces of glitter as well.

You can find Seuss on Facebook under Whimsical Ideas by Pam. The way to order is to send an e-mail to pea422000@yahoo.com. Please be patient with her, she is swamped with orders so give her a while to respond. It's worth the wait.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam I Believe in Fairies

Have you heard of the indie brand, Whimsical Ideas by Pam? You seriously need to check it out, her collection of polish is so fun, girly, and oh so glittery. Even her bottles are adorable, I love the labels and bows. Today, I'm going to show you I Believe in Fairies. It's a sheer purple glitter that's meant for layering in my opinion. It has tiny holographic glitter particles in a very light and sheer purple jelly base with medium pink and white (they look silver to me) stars.

The following two pictures show two coats of China Glaze LOL and two coats of I Believe in Fairies. I topped it off with one coat of Seche Vite top coat to smooth out the glitter and keep the stars down.

This picture shows I Believe in Fairies on it's own. I have one coat on my pinky, two coats on my ring finger, three coats on my middle finger, and four coats on my index finger. No top coat. Please excuse the dry nastiness that are my cuticles.

I think this polish is so fun and girly and I absolutely adore the stars. I really really wish there were more stars! I had to dig for them and that just isn't any fun. The polish is so sheer, I wish it were a bit more opaque. As you can see, there is a bit of VNL on my index finger and that's with four coats of polish!!! Luckily, it's adorable layered and you just need something to dig the stars out. It dries a bit gritty so a top coat is necessary. Other than my complaints, I really like this polish and will wear it again, with a base color of course. ;)

What do you think? If you want to pick up a bottle or check out the rest of the polishes in this line, you need to hop onto Pam's Facebook page. To order, you need to e-mail her at pea422000@yahoo.com. It will take a little while to hear back from her, she is swamped in orders right now but she will respond.
