I recently had the opportunity to play with some more products from Born Pretty. I decided to try these adorable pearls which is out of my comfort zone. Not because I don't like them, I've just never used them on my nails before. They were very easy to use and in my opinion, very pretty. After my manicure was completely dry, I applied top coat where I wanted the pearls (one area of the nail at a time), put top coat at the end of my dotting tool to pick up the pearls, and placed them on my nail. I then put a coat of top coat on to seal everything in. After everything dried, those babies weren't moving.
I wanted a baby girl pink but didn't have exactly what I had in mind. Zoya Erika was the right shade but it is too sheer for what I had in mind. I used two coats of OPI Pink Friday and then softened the color with two coats (maybe it was one) of Zoya Erika.
After that was completely dry, I used Konad Special Polish in white to stamp the polka dots from Konad plate m79. I couldn't handle the lack of sparkle so I added a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.
I attempted to make a bow on my accent nail.
The pearls come in a sturdy wheel. There are three sizes: 4mm, 3mm, and 1.5mm.
This is the 4mm pearl. It was too big for my nails but I wanted to show it so I stuck it on my thumb. I'm going to use this size on homemade cards.
The 3mm pearl is in the center of the bow with the rest being 1.5 mm.
I used the 1.5mm pearls on the rest of my nails. They fit perfectly over the polka dots.
I love these pearls and can't wait to use them again. You can get them, here for $4.14. Get them for less by using this coupon code!
