Lush Lacquer Love

I LOVE Lush Lacquer. I have several of their polishes and they have all been amazing. If you don't own any of these amazing polishes, you are seriously missing out! You need to check them out, here is their link. I'll wait......

See what I mean?!?!

I have three polishes from Lush Lacquer to show you today. I got two from their holiday collection and one from their regular collection. I seriously wanted every single holiday polish. Ok, I just want them all. It was SO hard to control myself.

This is what I picked out!

 *swoon*

Lush Lacquer Tree-mendous
This is my favorite of the three. A Christmas Tree in a bottle! Genius! The majority of the glitters are hexagon (ornaments) and then the yellow stars of course. It has a clear base and green holographic micro glitter that represents the tree.

I used two coats of Zoya Holly for my "undies" and two coats of Tree-mendous. I did have to fish a little for the stars but they came out very easily.

I placed the stars by dabbing them on with the brush but everything else was applied with regular brush strokes.

Close up of the bottle. Sorry about the horrid picture. Eeep!

I planned on wearing this on Christmas Day but forgot to pack it. I am still really really mad at myself. Really mad. Doh!

Lush Lacquer Peppermint Kisses
I've decided that I need to avoid polishes that have a white base. Hello lobster hands! Despite the fact that it clashes with my skin tone, I still think it's beautiful.

I used two coats of Zoya Purity as my "undies" and two coats of Lush Lacquer Peppermint Kisses. As most white polishes go, it was a little tricky to apply. You have to work quickly so it doesn't get gooey. I think it's worth the extra effort.

Peppermint Kisses has a white base and pink, red, white, and green matte hex glitter. As you can see, the glitter comes in a variety of sizes.

Here is a close up of the bottle.

This can also be worn on it's own with two or three coats. I preferred it with the white base color  underneath.

Lush Lacquer Splitter Splatter
Splitter Splatter comes from the regular Lush Lacquer line. I am really into the different black and white glitters that are out there right now. I love the addition of the blue in Splitter Splatter and couldn't resist adding this to my collection.

I'm still out of town so I can't double check which grey polish I wore with this. It was a grey creme from Orly. When I get home (if I remember) I will edit in the name.

Splitter Splatter has a clear base so it needs a base color. It has a variety of shapes and sizes of matte black, white, and blue glitter. Love it!

Here is a close up of the bottle.

Well, there you have it! I hope you enjoyed this. Lush Lacquer is available on their Etsy site and at Llarowe

Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful and safe New Year's!

31 Day Challenge - Day 7 Black & White Nails

I was planning on doing some nail art for this challenge but I just wasn't up to it. I've been wanting to try this polish and hope it's ok that there is red in addition to black and white. =)

I have a thing for black and white polish. It started with Lynnderella's Connect the Dots. I couldn't get that for a while so I snagged Sticks and Stones and later CtD. Why? I don't know! They are virtually the same. I have problems. My favorite color combination is black, white, and red so I was on the look out for a glitter polish with those colors. When I saw Lush Lacquer's Midnight Affair, I had to have it. It's exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to put it on top of a dark grey but thought it best to use black for this challenge. Next time, I'll try grey.

Midnight Affair has an amazing formula, just like the other glitters I've tried from Lush Lacquer. I applied it just like regular polish and it spread evenly on the nail. I love the proportions of the colors, it's just right.

For this mani, I used two coats of a standard black creme, two coats of Midnight Affair, and two coats of Seche Vite.

You can find Midnight Affair at Lush Lacquer's Etsy shop, here

I'll be back with metallic nails tomorrow....as soon as I decide what to do! =)

31 Day Challenge - Day 5 Blue Nails

Lush Lacquer is one of my favorite indie polish brands. I own five now (this is the third I've swatched so far) and I love them all. Bubble Yummy is amazing, it has a blue jelly base, blue and silver micro glitter, and medium blue hex glitter. I think that's everything that's in there. My mani looks darker and bluer than the bottle because I used Zoya Song as my base color.

The formula was amazing. It went on smoothly, glitter applied evenly (no fishing or dabbing needed), and dried quickly. I used two coats of Zoya Song, two coats of Bubble Yummy, and one coat of Seche Vite. I did something different for my base coat, I'm going to show you what I did for that soon.

This is one of those polishes that make you want to stare at your nails all day.

You can find Bubble Yummy and many more gorgeous polishes at Lush Lacquer's Etsy store, here

The great thing about Lush Lacquer is that you don't have to wait for them to restock their store. You can order whatever you want anytime you want. It does take about 3 weeks for my order to get to me but it's worth it to me. I'd rather wait a few weeks than set my alarm to order when a store is being restocked and not get anything because everything sells out within minutes. ;)

I hope you enjoyed today's mani! Please subscribe and "like" my page on Facebook

Lush Lacquer Party Rockin - Picture Heavy

You're probably going to want to know where you can get this so here ya go: Lush Lacquer

Are you back yet? Ok, this is one of my favorite glitter polishes of all time. I love the combination of colors, shapes and sizes of glitters, and the formula is perfection. Most of the glitters I have purchased from Etsy require you to fish for the glitter but not this baby. It is densely packed, the glitters are perfectly suspended, don't bleed or curl, and apply without a problem. I did use the dabbing method which is pretty standard for this type of polish in my experience so far.

My swatches show two coats of Cult Nails Spontaneous (swatch coming soon), two coats of Lush Lacquer  Party Rockin, and two coats of Seche Vite (base coat OPI Ridge Filler)

Pictures were taken in sunlight

Have you ordered this yet? I may need a back up of this one. =)

Close up of bottle. I see various sizes and colors of hex glitter (turquoise, magenta, orange, yellow, and purple) and turquoise bar glitter. Base is clear.

Love!

What do you think? Are you as smitten as I am or is this not your thing? Let me know in the comments below!

Lush Lacquer Sea Breeze *Picture Heavy*

You may want to grab a bib and your wallet for this one. The first time I saw a swatch of Sea Breeze, I had to get one for myself right away. It is stunning. Seriously. I could yammer on and on about how gorgeous this polish is but I'll let the pictures do the talking.

I used two coats of Zoya Zuza and two coats of Lush Lacquer Sea Breeze for the pictures below. I also used two coats of Seche Vite to smooth everything out. Ugh. Gorgeous!

Are you ready for this?

Sea Breeze sparkles like c-r-a-z-y, you will die when you see it in person. It has a sheer teal base, tons of micro, holo, and bar glitter. You can change the look by changing the base color. It's a beast to get off so use the cotton ball/foil method and it will come off without any problem.

You want this don't you? I know, I'm bad. Click here to get your own.
