A England Beauty Never Fails

This polish is so yummy.

Just look at it, olive green and gold shimmery goodness. *sigh*

I got this during a sale on the A England site and it took for-ev-er to arrive. There was a major issue with shipping polish from the U.K. to the U.S. that was resulting in packages getting destroyed by the Royal Mail. I don't remember the details but I was given the option of a refund or to wait while everything got sorted out. It was such a good deal I decided to wait. This beauty was worth waiting for.

A England - Beauty Never Fails is from the Heavenly Quotes collection. It is a gorgeous olive green with a heavy golden shimmer. I actually ventured out of the house when I had this on and I got a lot of compliments on it.

I used two coats with one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat. The formula was fantastic. It went on smoothly and evenly.

It's just divine.

I have another polish from A England to show you tomorrow. It's also green and fabulous.

A England is sold on Llarowe and Ninja Polish in the U.S.

Cult Nails Fetish

This is the polish I was the most excited about from Cult Nails' anniversary set. I've been wanting a black nail polish with a waxy/rubbery finish for a while and had to get this. I took a lot of pictures at different angles to try to capture it's finish.

I used two coats of Fetish and didn't use a top coat. Using a top coat will make the finish glossy which defeats it's purpose!

I didn't test wear time but I imagine it not being very long since you can't wear top coat.

I have so many ideas for nail art with this polish. I can't wait to try them!

Cult Nails Tempest

If you've used white nail polish before, you know what a pain it can be. I don't know why but white polish is really hard to work with. It can get goopy, drag, and streaky. If you're like me, you use a lot of white polish. I use it as a base for glitter polish or in nail art. I've tried a lot of brands and I think this one is my favorite white creme so far.

What you're looking at is two effortless coats of Cult Nails Tempest. I almost got away with one coat. One coat people! One coat of white nail polish! I had a teeny bit of patchiness on two nails that required a second coat. Um, that's crazy. Cult Nails, you rocked this one.

Do I really need to say more? White creme polish that is almost a one coater. I bet with practice I could make that one coat work. I know, right? Here's the linky link

Oh, I used Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat to make it extra shiny. It didn't really need it.

Cult Nails Blaze

Have you tried Cult Nails yet? If the answer is no, you are missing out! Cult Nails recently celebrated their 2nd anniversary and released a set of three polishes to celebrate. They also came with cubic zirconia earrings with the chance to win real diamond earrings (while supplies lasted). That promotion is over but the polish is still available. I got the fakie earrings which I will probably give to someone someday. They are pretty, I just don't wear jewelry. I'd make an exception for diamonds of course.

One of the polishes in the anniversary set is Blaze. The other two (I will show you them soon) are a plain white creme and an amazing black with a rubbery finish.

Pardon my nails. They aren't getting along with winter and I'm trying to grow them back out and reshape them.

Alright, back to the good stuff...

Blaze is a glitter polish with gold, copper, and perhaps red micro glitter in a clear base. I used two coats to reach opacity and topped it off with Cult Nails Wicked Fast top coat.

Here it is with flash so you can see how sparkly it is. It's a lot more sparkly in person.

I used the cotton ball/foil method to remove the glitter. The glitter got all over my skin during removal which wasn't a big deal. It came off without too much difficulty.

Let's talk formula. I wore this twice. The first time, it applied beautifully. No problems with the formula at all. The second time I wore it, the formula was a nightmare. It was goopy and very difficult to apply. After a generous amount of polish thinner, it returned to it's fabulous self. This is very unlike Cult Nails so I'm a bit puzzled on what happened. I was able to fix it so I'm still happy with it.

NOPI Sweet Dreams

While I was "browsing" in Ulta the other day, I noticed this little gem. Being the sucker for glitter that I am, I had to have it. NOPI Sweet Dreams is from the Selena Gomez collection and it's the only one I have from it. The others looked too close to polishes I already have so I passed them up.

NOPI Sweet Dreams is a glitter topper but it can be opaque on it's own with two or three coats.  I used two coats on top of Cult Nails Nevermore (black creme). I then topped it off with two coats of Seche Vite to make my mani smooth and extra glossy.

I love this over black but it would be cute over a lot of colors.

As you can see, Sweet Dreams has large silver hex, medium turquoise hex, and small lavender hex glitter in a clear base. It is very sparkly in person. Removal was a beast. I forgot to use Elmer's Glue as my base coat so I used the cotton ball and foil method. Oops!

What do you think? Will you be picking this up? Let me know in the comments below!

Lynnderella Key to Her Heart

For Valentine's Day, I wore a Zoya skittle mani with Lynnderella Key to Her Heart on top. I couldn't decide what to wear underneath the glitter so I went with five different shades. :)

Left to right (all Zoya polish): Carmen, Dita, Reagan, Lara, and Shelby
Each Zoya had an amazing formula and only needed two coats.

I put one thin coat of Key to Her Heart on and then used the brush to place the bigger pieces of glitter on each nail. This polish is jam packed with glitter so I didn't have to fish for anything. I just wanted to place the larger pieces of glitter in specific places.

Here are some close ups:

After Key to Her Heart dried, I put two thick coats of Seche Vite on to make my nails smooth.

Born Pretty Micro Bead Review

Hello everyone! I have a late Valentine's Day design to show you today. I apologize for putting this up after the holiday. Born Pretty Store sent me a wheel of their micro beads to review. I made a very simple design with them that I think is cute. I hope you like it!

I used two coats of Zoya Mira (my favorite purple creme) for my base color. With a nail art brush, I painted a heart with nail glue and sprinkled on the beads. I pressed the beads into the glue to make sure they were nice and stuck and let the glue set (10 minutes or so). To set the beads, I went over the entire nail with a coat of Seche Vite top coat.

The color on the beads did not bleed with the glue or top coat. I wore this for a day and they didn't come off or lose color. I don't have pictures of the nail wheel to show you because mine was ruined in the mail. Now, my product was sent to me to review so I didn't ask for a replacement. If I were a paying customer, I would have asked for one. With my experience in the past as a Born Pretty customer, I strongly feel that they would have replaced it.

The other thing I need to make sure you know is that in the product description, it says that the colors may be different than the beads shown in the product pictures. My beads were completely different colors. I don't know why this is, I buy my beads and nail art products based on their color. I liked the colors I got, but I liked the colors on their website better. Besides that, the beads were fun to play with and good quality. They are very versatile as well.

Here is the info for the beads!

The beads are $3.33 but you can get 10% off with this coupon code:
