Cult Nails Coveted

I love this polish. If I would have tried this on before the New Year, I think this would have made my top ten list for 2012. This is a polish that needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate. It is a Limited Edition so if you're interested, grab it asap! You can find it, here. Grab Flushed while you're at it. I'm reviewing that next. Trust me on that one. *swoon*

Coveted has an emerald green jelly base, green micro shimmer, and metallic green flakies. I used three coats to sandwich in the flakies to give it extra depth. I just don't have the proper words to describe how mesmerizing this polish is. If you love emerald green, you will treasure this polish.

Do you love it!?!?! I may need a back up of this one.

Cult Nails can be purchased online, here. The prices were raised to $12 recently. Luckily, I got mine before the price increase. Coveted is worth it, in my opinion. Can you tell that I adore it? I want to put it back on right now!

What do you think? Is green your thing? Let me know in the comments below.

Zoya Lovely Collection

I'm so excited to show you Zoya's new spring collection, Lovely. The first thing that struck me when I saw all six colors lined up together in the box is how perfect they look together. I immediately thought of easter and spring. Some of these colors may look familiar to you. Julie, Gei Gei, and Piaf were first released in the Zang Toi collection as limited edition. Jacqueline and Neely were released in the Peter Som collection. I missed out on both so I was excited to see them come back.

The Lovely Collection has six polishes, three are cremes and three are shimmers. I would classify all but Piaf and Jacqueline as pastels. Now, pastels don't get along with my skin tone. They make my hands look too red or washed out depending on the color. With that said, if pastels work for you, you will love this collection.

The Cremes
The formula on the following three polishes were very similar. They are on the thin side but apply smoothly and self level very well. Wipe off the extra polish from your brush before application and you'll be fine. I used three thin coats on each shade.

Jacqueline
Jacqueline likes to photograph on the yellow side but it is a very neutral nude. I would describe it as a light beige.

Blu
Blu is a pastel blue. It's a lot softer in person than my picture.

Neely
Neely is a light minty pastel green.

The Shimmers
The formula on all of the shimmers were perfect. I only needed two thin coats for opacity. They are all packed with a beautiful silver shimmer.

Piaf
Piaf is a medium yellow with silver shimmer. I'm not a fan of yellow so this was my least favorite color.

Julie
This was my favorite from the collection. It's a beautiful light lavender with silver shimmer.

Gei Gei
I'm not sure how to pronounce Gei Gei but I love this polish. It's a beautiful light "baby girl" pink. The silver shimmer makes this different from the other pinks in my collection.

Here is Gei Gei with flash. This color is more accurate and shows what the shimmer looks like.

What do you think? Do you have any favorites? Let me know in the comments below!

The Lovely Collection is available on Zoya's website for $8 each.

Cult Nails Disciplined

Cult Nails Disciplined was released a couple of month ago in the Behind Closed Doors collection. I was a little hesitant when I bought this because greys don't always look good with my skin tone. The color shifting shimmer pulled me in and although it's not the most flattering on me, I love it.

Disciplined has a light grey jelly base with color shifting shimmer (pink, blue, and purple).
(without flash)

The first coat was very sheer. I could barely see the base color but it built up very nicely. I only needed three thin coats but applied four because I smudged a nail.
(with flash)

Isn't it beautiful?
I couldn't stop moving my hand around to see the shimmer change colors.

You can find Disciplined at shop.cultnails.com

China Glaze Glistening Snow

Is it too late to post a polish from a holiday collection? I completely forgot that I had these pictures and they really made me miss my long nails. Luckily, my nails grow pretty fast. ;) Glistening Snow is from China Glaze's Holiday Joy collection. In the bottle, it looks just like China Glaze Fairy Dust. Don't let that turn you away, it is completely different on the nail.

Glistening Snow has a clear base that's packed with a fine silvery holographic polish that creates a scattered holographic effect on your nails. It's extremely sparkly. It reminds me of a silver version of China Glaze I'm Not Lion.

I believe this is only two coats, possibly three. It applied smoothly and dried quickly. As for removal, it's a glitter. I like to use Elmer's Glue as a base coat so I can peel my glitter manis off when I'm done.

Love it!

I found Glistening Snow at Sally's Beauty Supply last month. It and the other polishes in the Holiday Joy collection are probably still around and may even be on sale right now.
