Color Club Metamorphosis

It's a good thing I didn't see the bottles before I bought this collection. I had only seen swatches and didn't know about the duochrome tease that is Sky High and Metamorphosis. Metamorphosis is a pretty greenish teal glass fleck polish. In the bottle, you can see that it is a multichrome with purple, pink, and blue but like Sky High, you can't really see it on the nail. Bah. This also has silver shimmer in it. Love the polish despite the fact that it doesn't really show it's different colors.  It reminds me a little of Zoya Charla which is one of my all time favorite polishes ever.

Color Club Sky High

It's such a bummer when effects that show in a nail polish bottle don't translate on the nail. This is one of those cases but Sky High is still a beautiful polish. In the bottle, a purple duochrome is visible but don't get too excited, you can barely see it once applied. Despite that bummer, Sky High is a beautiful blue polish. It has a lot of silver shimmer making it's finish a little different than the others in this collection. Do I wish it had a strong purple flash? You know it but I still love it.

Color Club Fly With Me

Green is one of my favorite colors for nail polish. I used to think it was strange to wear green polish before my obsession collection started. I have since crossed over to the dark side and will put any shade and finish on my tips if it strikes my fancy. Glass fleck polishes have quickly become one of my favorite finishes as you know which is why I have enjoyed Color Club's Take Wing collection so much.

I love sporting green on my nails but this shade isn't my favorite. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty, I'm just not a fan of lime green. I don't think I'd even enjoy it on my toes. It would be a lot of fun to use in a water marble or in nail art so I'll keep Fly With Me around. As for a full mani, not so much. You be the judge, this may be right up your ally.

Fly With Me (4 coats)

Despite my not digging the color, the formula was quite lovely. It's just like Daisy Does it and Sparkle and Soar formula wise. It's on the thin side, wipe the excess off of your brush before applying and you shouldn't have any problems with pooling or flooding your cuticles. It dries quickly so putting on four coats didn't take as long as it sounds. If you like the color, you'll love this polish.

Color Club Sparkle and Soar

Every collection seems to have an orange right now. It's the in color for this summer so it's everywhere. Like yellow, I haven't been fond of orange. I felt that it didn't look good on me and reserved it for October 31. With all of the oranges popping up lately, it's starting to grow on me. I'm still not so sure about yellow but orange has become a color I love! Check it out! 

Sparkle and Soar (3 coats)

Doesn't it remind you of Orange Soda? I love how juicy and sparkly it is, it begs to be taken out in the sun. Love it!

Color Club Daisy Does It

This week I'll be showing you Color Club's Take Wing Collection. Today I'm starting off with Daisy Does It which is a juicy, sparkly, dark yellow that I think everyone should have (and I do not like yellow)! I haven't seen a polish quite like this, have you? 

Daisy Does It (4 coats)

Can we talk about how much I hate the color yellow? It washes me out to the point where I look like I'm dying. I only have two other yellow polishes and they aren't my favorite. This, I'm in love with. It's a darker yellow and the shimmer is to die for in person. A yellow I actually love? This is it!

About the formula, it was fabulous! It is thin but in a good way. It didn't flood my cuticles at all, just make sure you wipe off the brush a little as you bring it out of the bottle. With it being a thinner formula, I did need four coats to make it opaque. It dries fast so I wasn't bothered by needing four coats. Yellows are usually streaky and hard to work with but this went on smoothly. Maybe the fact that it's not a creme is why it worked so well? I highly recommend this! <3 <3 <3!!!

Revlon Whimsical

I was on the hunt for Whimsical for quite a while. It seemed that every time I turned on the computer, someone had a gorgeous swatch on their blog. Torture!!! I finally gave up my search and there it was! Funny how things work out sometimes. I was so excited that I bought two. I'm not sure why I did that....I have yet to use up an entire bottle of polish. Revlon has been putting out a lot of fabulous glitters lately, don't you think? This is lame, I know, but I wish their bottles were cuter. I know that doesn't matter but I'm a sucker for cute bottles. 

Enough chit chat from me, let's get down to business. Whimsical is a baby blue milky jelly with a touch of green (I think) filled with a variety of delicious glitter. There's a bit of light blue and pink hex glitter and then some smaller multi colored glitter. It's just the right amount to make your nail look speckled with glitter so you can enjoy the pretty base color too. It's supposed to be a dupe for the much more expensive Deborah Lippmann In the Air. I don't have the other polish so I can't tell you how accurate this is but it sure is cute!

You must know that it's pretty darn sheer. I layered this over two coats of China Glaze Kinetic Candy. I used three very thin coats of Whimsical because I wanted a lot of glitter on my nails. The formula was easy to work with but it's definitely a layering polish which I don't mind. I love how it looks like a jelly sandwich mani if you use a few coats. 

Just in case your curious, here is a picture of China Glaze Kinetic Candy. I put a coat of Techno on my accent nail.

China Glaze Summer Neons Preview

I'm a lot late on this, swatches have already hit a bunch of blogs but here is the press release for this summer's neon collection from China Glaze. I'm not sure if I'm going to pick any of these up since neons aren't my thing. If I do, it will only be a few. Swatches for the entire collection can already be seen on places like Scrangie if you'd like to check them out now. These should be in stores next month so keep your eye out! 

I would love to try on the blues, pinks, and purples in this collection to see if my pasty self can handle such intense colors. Hmmm, I'm really digging the blues the more I look at the pictures. Hmmm...Pink Plumeria looks pretty too....ok....maybe I like this collection more than I first thought. Noooo!!! My wallet needs a rest!!!!
